Charles Dickerson

Charles Dickerson, born on October 24, 1957, in Harlem, New York departed from this world on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was the son of Henry and Freddie Mae Dickerson (nee Taylor) and was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers James, Evans, Henry, and Edward Dickerson.

Charles is survived by his eldest brother, Adom Bey, his nephew Davine Bey and spouse (Yalonda Bey), his nieces Edwina and Melissa Dickerson, his great niece Asia Dickerson, and his great nephews Bilal, Malachi, Anan (Bey), and Evans James Dickerson. He also leaves behind a host of family members friends, colleagues, and love partner, Emma Simpson.

Charles was an extraordinary individual, known for his phenomenal talent in chess and his remarkable photographic memory. He astounded his loved ones with his ability to play chess without needing to see the board and his knack for recalling birthdates and historic events with precision.

Professionally, Charles served as a Production Operator at Giovanni Foods in Baldwinsville, NY. He was highly regarded and respected by his colleagues and leadership for his dedication, reliability, and unwavering work ethic.

In his leisure time, Charles enjoyed physical exercise and mental challenges, often spending hours immersed in the game of chess. His passion for the game and his indomitable spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charles Dickerson will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His legacy of kindness, intellect, and perseverance will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
