Anthony Francis Gaeta

Anthony Francis Gaeta, 78, of Fayetteville, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Syracuse VA Hospital. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was born in Bronx, NY to the late Mario and Marie (Amendola) Gaeta. He was predeceased by his parents and only sibling, Linda Fanning. 

He was a National Sales Rep for over 40 years. He completed religious studies at LeMoyne College and the Ministry Program of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse and served as a Family Life Minister at Holy Cross Church and Eucharistic Ministry at local hospitals. 

Surviving are his wife, Cherilyn (Englebrook) Gaeta; daughter, Lianna Marie and son-in-law, Gill Hammond; son, Michael Mario Gaeta; grandchildren, Cherilyn, R.J., Desiree, Damien and Raymond; four great grandchildren, Grayson, Ava, Raegan and Eva; brother-in-law, Ken Fanning; Godchild, Lori (Buddy); nephew, Ken (Renee) and great niece and nephew, Brianna and Ken.

His family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Syracuse VA Hospital's SCI Unit for the exceptional care and compassion shown him. 

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 10 AM at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 1340 Lancaster Ave., Syracuse, NY, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 AM.
