David John Bostick was born in Syracuse, NY, June 9, 1960 and passed away May 17, 2018 in the ICU of St. Luke's Healthcare Center, Utica, NY.
David was a lifelong native of Dewitt and Syracuse. He attended Moses-Dewitt Elementary, Jamesville-Dewitt Middle, where he was an award winning speller, and graduated from Jamesville-Dewitt High School in 1977. David attended OCC for two years. He went on to work for two family founded electronics companies, Microwave Filter Company and Communications & Energy Corp.
His generous and friendly nature brightened the day of shoppers as he volunteered at the Rescue Mission Clothing Store and participated as a volunteer and attendee at the May Memorial Church and Florence House outreach programs. Dave spent his last final months as a patient and extended family member at the Sitrin neurocare facility in New Hartford, NY where he was loved by the staff.
He is survived by brothers, Christopher and Daniel and sister, Diane and two nephews, Nathan and Joshua Bostick. Calling hours are Friday, May 25 from 5-7pm at MATHEWSON-FORANI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse, NY. Contributions can be made to the ALS Association and Sitrin HCC in his name.
