Donald C. Patrician

Donald C. Patrician, 70, of East Syracuse passed away at home. He was a true “Baker“ following in the footsteps of his Grandparents John and Wanda Swender of the original Liberty Bakery, Burnet Ave.  After completing Baking School in Chicago he worked thru-out Syracuse and finally opened Patrician’s Bakery at Geddes St. and also at Milton Ave. He is an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus. 

Don is survived by his brothers John (Kathleen), Peter (Michele); his step-Children Joanna (Phil) Gregory, Andrea (Todd) Greer, Michael Verescak and many treasured nieces, nephews and grandchildren. 

Calling hours will be Sunday (today) from 2-4pm in MATHEWSON-FORANI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 206 Kinne St., E. Syracuse, with a service to follow at 4pm. Burial will be private at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish CNY.
