Horst Schwinge Obituary

Horst Schwinge, 80, passed away May 24, 2019 after a 10 year struggle with cancer. Horst was born in Germany and has lived in Syracuse since 1969. He worked at Carrier Corporation as an engineer for over 30 years. Horst ran many marathons and enjoyed hiking and trail work with ADK.Horst is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sigi (Sieglinde); sons: Eric (Laila) and Claus (Jennifer); brother: Albert Batz; sister: Elfi Müller; grandchildren: Caitlin and Alexander; cousins and aunt in Germany. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY. A memorial get-together will be announced later. Leave condolences for the family on the Tribute Wall
