John Elton Parker, 72 of Liverpool, NY died peacefully at home on October 17, 2018. John grew up in Lockport NY, the son of Ray Henry (Bud) Parker and Anna Egan Parker. John was well known for his hard-working entrepreneurial spirit. He moved to Fulton NY, in 1967 where he owned and operated theSeaway Station on Cty Rte 3, John Parker Septic Service and The Bowens Corners General Store. In recent years he enjoyed working at the Kwik Fill on Rte 57 in Liverpool.
Surviving are his wife Melanie, his two daughters Corinna West of Buffalo, NY and Nora Brown of Las Cruces, NM, (4) Grandchildren and (1) great grandchild. John was very close to Melanie’s children having raised Gretchen Beukes of S. Africa and Lindsey Rainbow of Liverpool, as his own. John loved it when he got the opportunity to work on projects with Melanie’s four daughters.
John is also survived by his brother William (Ann) Parker of Olcott, NY and sister Deborah (Al) Carpenter of Simsbury, CT.
In remembrance of John, donations are encouraged to Hospice of CNY. A private celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
