Kathy was born January 8, 1949, and passed away June 21, 2018. She went to St. Matthew’s elementary school, graduated high school from the old Convent School, and received her Associate’s degree in Horticulture and Floriculture from SUNY Cobleskill. Kathy was known by her closest family and friends as “Rosie”, a reference to her love of all types of flowers (especially roses), and her flower shop in East Syracuse during the 70’s and 80’s which was called Rose Pricker’s Place. Kathy worked in the floral and floral design industry her entire career, the last 20 years for Seagroatt and Riccardi in Albany before retiring in 2017 and moving back to Central New York to be near her family. She won numerous awards for her design work over the years, including entries at the New York State Fair.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents Jack and Esther Brennan of East Syracuse, and her older brother John Michael. She is survived by her sister Antonia Kingsley (Paul Policastro), brothers Mark Brennan (Linda), Matthew Brennan (Cindy), Luke Brennan (Judith), and Terrence Brennan. Kathy also had many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, a Papillon named Dudley.
There will be no calling hours. A mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Matthew’s church in East Syracuse on Tuesday, June 26 at 9 AM.
