Patrick A. Homa

Patrick A. Homa, 51, of Amsterdam, formerly of East Syracuse, passed away June 12, 2018. He was born in Syracuse and was very active in St. Stanislaus Church, Amsterdam, NY as a Trustee and Holy Name Society. Patrick was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a former umpire in the East Syracuse Baseball League and coached in St. Matthew's Church CYO Basketball League. Patrick was employed as a Tax Auditor for New York State over 15 years. He is survived by his parents, John and Jane (Medyn) Homa of East Syracuse; his siblings, Robert Homa of Brooklyn, James (Amy) Homa of Manlius and Maribeth Homa (David Ramsey) of North Syracuse; two nieces, Katie and Kelly. Funeral services are Monday at 10:30 AM in MATHEWSON-FORANI FUNERAL HOME, INC. AND 11 am in St. Matthew's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours are Sunday from 1-4pm at the funeral home, 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick's name can be made to St. Matthew's Church Restoration Fund, 229 W.
