Pauline Cesta Obituary
Pauline (Haberek) Cesta, 83, of East Syracuse, passed away May 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church. Pauline retired as a Group Leader after 35 years from Bristol Myers Squibb. She was a member of The East Syracuse Jaycees, Lions Club and Road Runners.She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Genevieve Haberek, husband, Oreste Cesta, partner, Byron LaSalle and her sister, Patricia Gray. Survived by her children, Paul (Michele) Cesta, Edward (Patty) Cesta and Jennifer (Tom) Granbois; her grandchildren, Danielle, Amanda, Jacob, Matthew and Luke; a great granddaughter, Emma; her siblings, Virginia Torrey of Arizona, Eleanor Rowland of North Syracuse and Gerald Haberek of Parish; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday at 8:30am in MATHEWSON-FORANI FUNERAL HOME, INC. and 9 am in St. Matthew's Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse, NY. Donations can be made to St. Matthew's Church.
