Alfred Hewitt Obituary

Alfred R. Hewitt "Alfie", AKA "The Music Man", 72, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday March 11, 2021 at Bishop Rehab & Nursing after a brief illness. Born in Oneida, NY, Alfred was a life resident of Syracuse. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren & grandchildren. His hobby and absolute passion was listening to and playing his music for everyone. He passed his passion for music onto his daughter, Carol.

He was predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Rosemary A. Gurniak in September 2020. He is survived by his three daughters, Carol A. (Kyle) Maloid of Syracuse, Melissa M. Hewitt (Dave Stoquert) of Liverpool and Christy L. Gurniak of Phoenix, NY; seven grandchildren, Kacie L.(Nicholas) Robson, of Seattle, WA, Christopher M. Maloid (Shannon Vasquez) of Syracuse, Autumn S. Brown, Jordan R. Brown, Mersadies N. Hewitt, Arianna K. Hewitt all of Liverpool, Slena A. Cruz of Baldwinsville; five great grandchildren, Aiden T. Robson of Seattle, WA, Isabella A. Maloid, OliviaJ. Maloid of Syracuse, Brooklynne A. Huddleston of Liverpool, Jacob L. LaValle of Baldwinsville; two brothers, Charles (Mary Helen) Hewitt of Ft Worth, TX, Thomas Hewitt of N. Syracuse; two sisters, Bonnie Callais of Newport News, VA and Darlene Snell of Solvay; several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the next couple weeks.
