Ann M. (Jacopelle) Cartini

Ann M. (Jacopelle) Cartini, 78, of Fayetteville, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27 surrounded by her family after a brief illness. 

Born December 4, 1942 in Syracuse NY, Ann was a life-long resident of the area. She will be remembered for her spirited personality, willingness to help others, and an unconditional desire to make people happy. 

Ann was a career entrepreneur, operating several Orange Julius and Dairy Queen franchises across Central NY. Mrs. C, as she was affectionately known as by her employees, helped mentor and inspire hundreds of area youths, often providing many of them with their first jobs. She had an art for seeing people, and enticing smiles. She was also an avid Syracuse basketball fan.

Ann was predeceased by her loving husband, Carl, her parents Samuel Jacopelle and Lena Casciano Jacopelle, her brother Leonard Jacopelle and her sister JoEllen Wilson. She is survived by her brother Michael (Anna) Jacopelle of East Syracuse, children Jay (Lisa) of Brewerton, Jeffrey of Charleston SC, Christopher (Andrea) of Whitesboro, and Kathryn of Saratoga Springs, grandchildren Halie, Hollie, Gabriella, Dean and Sofi, in-laws Thomas Wilson, Sharon (Mike) Racht, Judy (Steve) Meredith, Michael (Elizabeth) Cartini, and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 30, at St. Matthews Church in East Syracuse starting at 9AM, with mass to follow at 11AM. Ann will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt, NY.
