Barbara Steeves Obituary

Barbara Steeves, 76, of Syracuse passed away at her home on October 12th. She was born in 1947 in Syracuse, NY to her beloved parents, Michael Pishko and Anne Durney.

A 1968 graduate of Crouse Irving Hospital School of Nursing, Barbara devoted her life to serving CNY as a Registered Nurse. She retired so she could spend time with her granddaughter, Elinor who was the light of her life. Barbara was the kindest, most generous, sweetest woman and will truly be missed. She was beyond measure, the most wonderful mother.

Surviving are her daughter, Anna and granddaughter Elinor of North Syracuse; son, Ben of Brooklyn; brothers, Jon (Sharon) Pishko of Deptford, NJ; Pat (Sonia) Pishko of Saint Peters, MO; Chuck (Terry) Pishko of Sarasota, FL; several loving nieces and nephews; and an infinite amount of friends, of particular mention, Sue and Jan, who helped her so incredibly much.

There will be a private burial at St. Agnes cemetery for close friends and family.
