Byron "Barney"` Michaels

Byron “Barney” Michaels, 56, of Syracuse, NY was called home to receive his wings August 5, 2020. He was born in Troy, NY on July 16, 1964.

Byron was known for being hilarious, straightforward, caring, loving, and strong. He enjoyed fishing, building model cars and collecting eagles. Above all, he was a family man and who enjoyed more than anything spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He was predeceased his father Byron Michales in 1989 and his forever love BobbiSue Shaw in 2016.

He is survived by his mother Patricia Bass of Syracuse NY, his brother Rance (Carole) of Hastings NY, sister Patricia (Jerry) of
Central Square, brother Louis, sister Brenda of Syracuse, sister Obadee of Syracuse, Richard of Central Square; 9 nephews, 10 nieces, several great nieces and great nephews, son Shawn (Shainna), daughter Ashley, daughter Krystal (Tariq), daughter April (Kyra), granddaughters Akili, Leilana, Donna, Lonna, Ivonna, Rhyonna, and Amya, grandsons Malachi, Ivan, and Amir who all are of Syracuse, NY.

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 13th from 2pm-4pm at Mathewson - Forani Funeral Home located at 206 Kinne St in East Syracuse.
