Carl Ackerman Obituary

Carl K. Ackerman, 88, of East Syracuse, passed away October 20, 2018. He was born in Chittenango, the son of Clyde and Stella Ackerman. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as a Communications Foreman for Conrail/CSX for over 40 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Verna in 2002, siblings, Mary Squadrito, Paulette Ackerman, Bruce, Wendell ("Butch"), Kenneth, Charles and Thomas Ackerman and his step-children, Sandra Miller, Velma Olmsted and Raymond Strickler; He is survived by his siblings, Lyle Ackerman, Patricia Sojdak, Sandra Potter, Linda VanAlstine and Vanessa Kallette; several nieces and nephews; his step-children, James, John and Lawrence Strickler; 22 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren;. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, North Manlius. Leave a condolence for the family on the Tribute Wall.
