Charles DeBarr Obituary


Charles M. (Chuck) DeBarr was born April 5, 1948 and passed into the waiting arms of our Lord and Savior on Nov. 29, 2021 from complications of the Covid virus at the VA hospital in Albany.  He will be cremated by the Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home and his ashes given to his next of kin and son, Robert DeBarr. 

Charles is survived by his son, Robert DeBarr and his daughter, Sacha DeBarr, two brothers, Andrew and James DeBarr and two sisters, Jacqueline Hudson and Judith DeBarr and also his step children Erin, Jamie and  Debbie,  his Goddaughter and niece, Niki Cooper and his Godson and nephew, Jeremy DeBarr. plus numerous nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents, John and Jeannette DeBarr, his wife Irene (Beverage) DeBarr and several siblings: Jessica, Ella, Bertina, Sandra and Deborah.
 
After attending CNS high school, Charles joined the Army and  became a member of the Military Police.  He was very proud to be a part of the Army and becoming a veteran.  He went on to get married and work at a car company as a mechanic and then for Nabisco Co. as a driver and was known as The Cookie Man.   His last place of residence was Morey Road, Central Square, NY before becoming a resident of Onondaga Center Long Term Care Facility where he was loved and treated as family.  We all will miss him but our love will never end for him.
