Christopher Carlson

With a heavy heart Chris “Fristopher” Carlson, 42, of Jamesville, passed unexpectedly on March 10, 2026.

Chris was a 2006 graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta, where he earned his degree in Criminal Justice. He spent 20 years with Delta Sonic, where he formed lifelong friendships with coworkers and customers who truly adored him. Most recently, Chris was proud to begin a new chapter as a TSA Agent at Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

Chris had an adventurous spirit. His pole barn was filled with toys that reflected his love for excitement and the outdoors, but none of those adventures compared to the joy he found in being a dad. Chris’s whole world revolved around his children, Ryker and Lyla. Whether he was fishing, throwing a football, traveling, or simply relaxing by the pool, being with them was exactly where he wanted to be.

Above all else, Chris loved deeply - his family, his friends, and especially his children. Our lives are forever changed by his absence, and he will be deeply missed.

Chris is survived by his father and best friend, John Carlson of Fayetteville, NY; his children: Ryker and Lyla (their mother Angela Dains and her daughters Jenna and Ava); his sister, Gina (Todd) Acker of DeWitt; nieces Cali and Chelsea and his significant other, Cassia Jones of Colorado. He was predeceased by his mother, Carol Carlson.

Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of choice in Chris’s memory.
