David Burch

David Burch, 74, of Skaneateles Falls, passed away on February 28th, 2026, peacefully at Auburn Hospital.

He was born July 2nd, 1951, to Joesphine and Edward Burch in Syracuse, NY.

He married Marlene in August of 1983 and they had 2 children together. Jolene (Bret) & Michael (Elaina).

He worked as a laborer doing a little bit of everything and retired from working in 1994. From working for the county to being a truck driver, he did a little bit of everything. He was known as a jack of all trades; but known for his music.

He was an avid musician known for playing many instruments all around the country and a large member of the local biker community. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. When the season was right, he would be on the shore fishing or in the woods waiting for the next big deer. He could also be found in the garage tinkering with trucks and bikes or found in the living room strumming on the guitar and putting on a show.

He was known all around as Burchie and Flutty, then later in life Pops by the many younger friends “adopted children” he accumulated. David was loved by everyone who he came across.

David is survived by his sisters Susan and Cindy, his 2 children, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Edward.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
