Donna Marie Sotir (Parsons)

Donna Marie Sotir passed away peacefully the morning of May 6, 2022 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, after a long illness. She was loved and will be missed. Donna was born at Crouse in 1937 to Stanley Parsons (d. 1968) and Florence Parsons (Eischen) (d. 1984), and lived in East Syracuse until she married William Sotir in 1958. During their 33-year marriage, she lived in Boston, MA, Scottsdale AZ, Fort Worth, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Rochester NY, Dayton OH, and around Syracuse.
Donna is survived by her daughter Lisa Sotir Ozkan, son-in law Ozgur, her 3 year-old grandson Paul, her sister Shirley Beck, her nephews Jay and Scott Beck, and her niece Lori Beck, and her former husband William.
Visitation will be held at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc., 206 Kinne Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057 on May 21, 2022 from 10-11am, with a service to follow at 11am. She will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, 800 Grant Boulevard, Syracuse, NY 13203 immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be given to the Humane Association of Central NY or Lollipop Farm.
