Edward S. Balintfy

Edward S. Balintfy, 75, of Liverpool, New York, passed away on July 17, 2025. A beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Ed lived a full and vibrant life, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. Ed shared fond memories of growing up on his grandparents’ farm in Williamstown, where he learned fortitude and the value of hard work—traits that defined his life.

A proud graduate of Liverpool High School, he formed lifelong friendships and cherished attending class reunions to reconnect with classmates. He furthered his education at Onondaga Community College, laying the foundation for his early career. Ed dedicated 31 years to Niagara Mohawk. Alongside this, he ran Balintfy’s Electric for over two decades, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and skill as an electrician.

Later in life, he spent 10 years as an over-the-road driver, embracing the beautiful vistas, discovering hidden gems, and making new friends with his warm and welcoming nature. Ed took immense pride in his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Julia Balintfy, and his sister, Linda.

Ed is survived by his three children: Michael (Nicole), James (Harmony), and Michelle; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him boundless joy. He is also survived by his brother, Donald (Carol), his 2 nieces, and his nephew.

A private service will be held for the family. Ed’s legacy of hard work, love for adventure, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
