Edward M. Lowenstein

Edward M. Lowenstein, 74, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Ed was a life resident of Syracuse and graduated from Nottingham HS.

He owned the EDLO Vending Company for over 45 years and served Manlius for 22 years as a Village Trustee and  Mayor. Ed most enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved Sylvan Beach, cars, music, trivia and playing cards. 

He was pre-deceased by his parents Louis and Ann Lowenstein, and sister Maxine Sohl. His family includes his wife of 49 years, Kathleen (Cline); children: Katie (Rob) Sutton, Jill (Scott) Porter, Dori (Andrew) Karanikis, and Adam (Mandy); nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Calling hours are 5:00–7:00pm on Thursday, December 16 at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse. Service at 10:00am on Friday, December 17 at the Funeral Home, followed by burial in Manlius Village Cemetery. 

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
