Elizabeth F. Teegarden

Elizabeth F. Teegarden, 96, went to be with the Lord on November 8th, 2025.

Born in 1929, Betty grew up in the East Syracuse area. She moved to Camillus, NY in 1953 with her husband Larry to raise their family.

A woman of strong Faith, Betty shared her love for the Lord through her participation in several church choirs. She spent many years traveling the world with her Folksmarch group and found Germany to be her favorite place to visit. Betty was very active, always making time for swimming, water skiing, bowling, riding her bike, ice skating and cross-country skiing and even joined a soccer league in her 50's. For over 20 years, Betty spread joy, kindness and compassion through volunteer work at Community General Hospital. Her biggest joy in life, however, was her family. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She shared and encouraged her love for the arts by frequenting museums, plays and especially musicals. She was a constant and devoted participant in her grandchildren's lives and was the loudest cheerleader and most enthusiastic supporter at all of their sports and activities. Family time was truly cherished at the yearly camp she rented at Southwick Beach so that her family could laugh and play together while enjoying Lake Ontario.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Larry and two brothers, Larry and Michael. She is survived and deeply missed by her children Susan (Terry), Janelle (Russell) and Douglas (Cheryl). Her five grandchildren Alison (Jeff), Shelby (Mike), Andrew (Heather), Matthew (Brenda) and Jonathan and nine great-grandchildren. Her brother David (Kathy), and sister Jeannine, a niece and several nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery on November 22nd at 11:00am.
