Elvira A. (Lamas) Donnelly

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dear Dear. Elvira Donnelly, affectionately known as Dear Dear, left us peacefully late Saturday night, surrounded by her son and grandchildren. Elvira was a cherished matriarch, deeply loved by her family and friends.

Elvira is survived by her devoted son, Jason Donnelly as well as her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness. She is now reunited with her husband, Ernest Donnelly, and her beloved daughter, Kim Donnelly, in heaven.

A loving member of the community, Elvira was known for her warm heart and wise counsel. She was everyone's confidant, offering support and compassion to all who knew her. Her spirit and kindness touched many lives, and she will be profoundly missed.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a service to be held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, located at 206 Kinne Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

In honor of Elvira's generous spirit, the family encourages you to share acts of kindness in her memory, whether through helping a neighbor or volunteering in your community.
