Obituary
Emanuel B. LaMacchia (Manny), 76, passed away on August 30, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area. Manny graduated from Union College and then attended the University of Rochester. Manny was a Math teacher at Lyncourt School for 34 years. He was passionate about teaching!
Manny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Kay; his children Karen, Matthew (Shelley), and David (Rhea); his sister Josie (Sal) Borregine; many nieces and nephews; and the grandchildren he loved beyond measure: Hannah, Emanuel, Astrid, Arden, and Hugo.
He loved being outdoors while hunting, fishing, and enjoying his gardens and cottage at Lake of the Isles. His presence will be missed by all especially at meals which he would prepare for family gatherings.
Manny has chosen to donate his body to the Upstate Anatomical Gift Program. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Family services will be private.
