Evelyn M. Goodrow

Evelyn M. Goodrow, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in St. Regis Falls, NY, Evelyn lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to her work, devotion to her family, and a passion for music and fun. She worked for over 20 years at General Electric before retiring and moving to Zephyrhills, Florida, where she enjoyed more than two decades of sunshine, friendship, and an active retirement.

Evelyn had a lifelong love of country music and could often be found playing her guitar, singing, dancing, and sharing her joyful spirit with those around her. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and roadies. Her warm smile, sense of humor, and love for family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her.

Evelyn is survived by her dear sister, Helen Cascanette, loving daughters, Linda Savoy and Bonnie Holborow; her cherished grandchildren, Michelle Savoy-Salloum, Michael Savoy, Amy Sell, Laura Holborow, Sarah Brenly, Brian Searle, Stacie Green, Bonnie Searle, and Netitia Goodrow. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss her deeply.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Laurence Goodrow; her children, Sandra Ladowski and David Goodrow; and her sister, Norma Cheney.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc., 206 Kinne Street, East Syracuse, New York 13057.

A mausoleum service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in DeWitt, New York.
