Gary Meck

In Memory of Gary Gene Meck

May 15, 1943 – August 02, 2022

A United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran and retired Corrections Officer for the Douglas County Correctional Service in Omaha Nebraska – Gary is survived by his wife of 58 years Donna Marie. Gary and Donna have called Syracuse home for the last six years with their daughters Gail Connolley and Dorothy with her husband Alan Fries. Gary also is survived by his younger sister Lynn Clayton living in Bethany Beach Delaware.

Gary and Donna have several Grandchildren; Ashley Fries and her husband Alex Fries, Cody Hansen, Dallas Meck with Nichole Affleck, and Brianna Connolley. He also had additional step grandchildren; Zachary, Ariel, and Kayla. Great Grandchildren Aurelia Fries along with Olivia and Alaina.

Gary was a very caring man with family ties to Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Nebraska. Gary will be remembered for his undying love for his wife, passionate love of CUBS baseball, and his never ending sense of humor all of which we forever miss.
