George Huyler Obituary

George C. Huyler, 96, of East Syracuse, passed away January 25, 2021 with his loving family at his side. He was born and raised in Elmira, NY and served in the US Marine Corps in both World War II and the Korean War. He was employed by Ashland Oil Co. before his retirement.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Ruth in 2018. He is survived by his children, John (Debra) Huyler of N. Attleboro, MA, George M. (Roxane) Huyler of Clarence, NY and Marcia (Chuck) Buck of Fairfield Glade, TN; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

George was a life member of Marine Corp League, American Legion, VFW and Mad River Club. Private burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations in George's name can be made to Hospice of CNY and of the Finger Lakes.
