Gregory C. Jackson, 64, of Cicero, passed away October 26, 2021. He was a life resident of Jamesville .Greg was the best father a girl could ask for. He was at every event growing up, every game, every concert. While going though his belongings I have found every newspaper my name was ever mentioned in. My father was the best cheerleader anyone could have ever wanted or dreamed of. He was loyal to those that he cared about and he would do anything for those closest to him. I have been so lucky to have him on my side. He loved music, wrote poetry and was very involved in the Syracuse music community. He loved NASCAR and Formula 1 and he was the one who introduced me to pop culture.
He worked at Tile and Carpet Town in Dewitt for numerous years. He was the manager for Childhoods End, worked with Mark Doyle and various other bands in Syracuse and Rochester. He wrote for underground music magazines and different online forums. He was in the band The Max, along with other musical projects throughout the years and treasured his guitars and records. He was a cat lover and would do anything for the furry friends in his life. My father loved big and he loved hard, I was lucky to be an only child and at the receiving end of it all. He cared for his life long friends, people that hung out with him in his old A frame and those that still came to sit with him, especially is friend Greg.
He is survived by myself, his daughter, Stephanie and two sisters, Kelly and Tracey. I will miss my Dad every day, but I am so thankful and lucky that he was my Dad.
