James W. Mumper

James W. Mumper, 67, of Nedrow, NY, passed away on July 12, 2021 after a very long fight.  He spent his final days surrounded by his friends and loved ones until his passing.  Jim is predeceased by his parents, Anne and James Mumper.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Annette Mumper, two daughters Paula Lyons (Chia) and Jamie Wortley (Ed) and a son, Kevin Mumper (Steve) of Rochester, NY.  Jim had five grand children he adored; Lauren and Derek Lyons, Meredith, Julia and Kalynn Wortley.  He is survived by his sister, Barb Mercurio (Tony) and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his time in nature and enjoyed all types of  hunting and fishing. His favorite areas included Spruce Pond and Otisco and Oneida Lakes. Jim graduated from West Genesee high school and was very active in Boy Scouts of America, always proud of his Eagle Scout.  Jim was known as the man who could fix anything and loved mentoring anyone interested in construction, hunting and fishing. The family asks that donations be made in memory of James to the Anatomical Gift Program at Upstate Medical University, 750 E. Adams Street, Syracuse, NY.  The family would like to thank the 4N Cardiac Team for the great care over the years along with HCR staff.
