In retirement, James fully embraced life on his own terms, enjoying the freedom to do whatever he wanted most—spending time with family, pursuing his interests, and savoring well-earned rest.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Nicole Pudney, and his sister, Patty Burton.
James leaves behind his devoted wife, Gay Jones Pudney, with whom he shared a life filled with love and partnership. He is also survived by his children: Dennison (Laci), Tammy, and Douglas (Adrienne). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kaitlyn (Dallas), Tyler, Olivia, Jameson, Ella, Ava, and Hayden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Raelynn, who brought him immense joy.
