Janet (Hicks) Matthews

Janet Matthews, 93, passed away May 22, 2020 at Bishop Rehab & Nursing Home after testing positive for Covid19.
She is survived by two daughters, Victoria Griffin, Andries Douglas and a son, Christopher.
She also leaves behind grandchildren Stacy Hilton, Matthew Dore, Robert Griffin and Lydia Griffin as well as several grandchildren, a great granddaughter, two nephews and a niece.
Janet’s true passion was art. She was an accomplished potter for over six decades and became an abstract painter in more recent years.
She continued drawing while a resident at Bishop and often shared her artwork with the staff.
There will be no services in accordance with her wishes.
