Jean Ann Burke

Jean Burke, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.

Jean lived a full and beautiful life marked by curiosity, kindness and devotion. A passionate reader, Jean spent countless hours exploring new stories at the East Syracuse Library; a place she cherished for many years. She was also known for her love of sewing crafts, Kosta’s pizza and for her enthusiastic support of Syracuse University basketball and the Golden State Warriors rarely ever missing a game.

A dedicated Catholic, Jean found strength and community through her many years working and worshiping at Blessed Sacrament Church. Her faith guided her and her gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jean is survived by immediate family: Cathie, Michael, Linda and Julie. Grandchildren: Chelsea, Isaiah, Melanie, Josh, Michael, Shyanne and her many great-grandchildren each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

Jean will be remembered for her generosity, warmth, humor, and the unwavering love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in all who were blessed to share life with he and she will be deeply missed.
