Jean Sweeney Obituary

Jean M. Sweeney, 83 of East Syracuse passed away on Sunday, April 4th 2021 at Francis House in Syracuse.

She was born on February 3rd, 1938 in Glenfield, NY, the daughter of Charles and Lois Saunders.

Jean graduated from General Martin School in Glenfield and went on to graduate from Utica School of Commerce.

Jean married Robert W. Sweeney on May 11, 1957 in Lowville, NY. After a long career with Marine Midland Bank, she eventually retired from Solvay Bank.

After retirement Jean and Bob enjoyed traveling at home and abroad. Jean loved reading and family gatherings at the house.

She is survived by her husband Bob, sons Gary (Kelly) Sweeney, Brian Sweeney, Bruce (Jodie) Sweeney.

As well six grandchildren, Anthony, John, Shannen, Cate, Bobby & Daniel and one great-grandchild.

Memorial Services and Burial will be private and there will be no calling hours.
