Joan (Holsten) Goldmann

Joan Goldmann, 84, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2018 in Syracuse, NY.   She was born August 19, 1934 in Huntington, NY, to the late Richard and Mary Holsten.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Raymond and her beloved son, Deane. Joan is survived by her children Dennis Goldmann (Denise) of Cazenovia, NY, Catherine Tuck (George) of Carlsbad, CA, Elizabeth Goldmann (Rob Leidy), of Oakland, CA, her daughter-in-law Lori Goldmann of Harrisburg, PA, her grandchildren Kara (Kjell), Eric, Chloe, Jake and Kate, her great grandson Finn, her sister Maureen Murphy (Jack) of Madison, WI, her nieces, nephews and many cousins in Ireland.  A loving mother and homemaker, Joan spent many years living in Rutland, Vermont, Upstate New York,  Atlanta, Georgia and Harrisburg, PA where she made many wonderful friends.  She was a devoted, fun-loving mother who always gave of her time and heart to her family and friends.  She loved family gatherings and spending evenings laughing and telling stories.  She was an amazing artist and we all are blessed to have her paintings throughout our homes as a beautiful reminder of Joan. A service celebrating her life will be held Friday, December 7th at 10am at the Linglestown Life United Methodist Church at 1430 N. Mountain Rd.
