John M. Sanson, 99, of East Syracuse, passed away June 19, 2020. John was the 13th out of 14 children and resided in the family homestead until he died. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He began his career on the railroad with New York Central in 1941 and retired from Conrail in 1982. He married the love of his life on July 4, 1945. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and conservationist. He loved getting on his tractor and tilling the soil on "Happy Acres".
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Casciano Sanson; his son, Robert (Patsy) Sanson and daughter, Paulette (Bill) Lane and grandson, Jared.
Graveside services for John will be held on his 100th birthday Monday June 22nd at 11:45am in St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa, NY.
