Juan Montelongo, Jr. Obituary

Juan Montelongo Jr., 60, was born on March 28th, 1964 in Sinton, Texas. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on May 12th, 2024 in Syracuse, New York. He was a devoted father, life companion and friend who touched countless lives with his kindness and compassion.

Juan had a profound love for animals, dedicating his time to donating blankets, food and other supplies to the local SPCA. His generosity knew no bounds and he found great joy in ensuring that countless furry friends had the means to a happy life until they found their forever homes.

Beyond his passion for animals, Juan cherished moments with his loved ones above all else. Whether it was spending quality time with his children, a quiet evening at home with his cat Batman, or a trip to the duck pond, he found joy in every moment spent with those he held dear. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Juan had hoped for a kidney transplant, but will donate with the Finger Lakes Donor Recovery to help others with a chance of life.

Juan is survived by his adoring children, Tara and Kaleigh Montelongo; his life companion, Theresa Laroway (Montelongo). His siblings, Sara Cristan, Rosemary Macias, Linda Montelongo, and Michael Montelongo.

Juan is predeceased by his parents, Eva Montelongo (Buentello) and Juan Montelongo, Rudy Montelongo and his nephew, Juan Villarreal, and now joins them in an eternal peace; though his spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones, a true testament to the profound impact he had on those around him.

There will be a short church service at Most Holy Rosary in Syracuse this Saturday May 18th at 11am.
