Judy Seitz Obituary

Judy A Seitz ( Christman) 84 ,of Oneida, passed away peacefully on Sept 16, 2022 with her family by her side.  She was born in Canastota, daughter of Burt and Muriel Christman.

She lived, married, raised a family, and cared for so many of us here, her entire life. Judy married Val Seitz in October of 1957 and they were married for 55 years. She was a a stay at home mom teaching her children the many ways of life. In her later years she worked at the Oneida Area Meals on Wheels.

Alongside her sister Joyce (Harp) and dear friend Rosie (Hollenbeck), they managed to overcome many laughs and giggles and provided Oneidas senior citizens with hot and cold meals for many years. In her off time she and her husband Val enjoyed camping and spent many years at Cedar Valley and later at a private camp in Westdale. Judy's favorite pastime though was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and took an active interest in all of our lives. No one will ever make a potato salad or an Apple pie like "Ma" did, and Holiday and Birthday dinners were always a special treat.

She is survived by her daughters Dawn (Rolfe) Rauscher of Oneida, with whom she lived, daughter Sandy (Monte) Colucci of Canastota, son Rick (Karen) Seitz of Naples, Florida, and son Scott (Brenda) Seitz of Verona, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 1 great - great grandchild. Judy was predeceased by her husband Val, sister Joyce, brothers Richard and Bob, and also by 2 grandchildren, Jay and Nikki. She also leaves behind her very special friend "Woody" Lesher, of Canastota and her beloved dog Maggie.

There will be no services per her wishes, however, a celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.

In Judy's memory contributions may be to Wampsville Fire Dept, Vineall Ambulance or the CdLS Foundation.
