Kathleen Mary Angus, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born on March 17, 1948, in Syracuse, N.Y., to the late Asa Stewart Dailey and Rita (Fox) Dailey. Kathy's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and her deep commitment to her faith.
Kathy's early years were shaped by the close-knit family created by Asa and Rita Dailey. Her siblings, who preceded her in death, were Carol (Dailey) Lehrer, James Dailey, and Karen (Dailey) Harris, along with her sister-in-law, Helen Dailey. Although they have left this world, their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
A proud alumna of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in Syracuse, N.Y., Kathy embodied the values instilled in her through her Catholic faith. Her commitment to family was evident in the warmth and love that radiated from her.
Kathy is survived by her brother, Michael Dailey, and her three children: Gabrielle (Angus) Lent, Douglas Angus (spouse Dawn), and Christopher Angus (spouse Jamie). Kathy's love extended to her five grandchildren: Kathryn Angus, Holly Patterson, Stanley Angus, Michael Angus, and Devin Angus. She also took great joy in her great-grandchild, Violet Beaudoin.
Kathy's playful spirit was reflected in her affection for toys,which brought joy to both her and those around her. A fervent sports enthusiast, she was known for her animated reactions while watching men's basketball, especially during Syracuse University games.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Kathy's life will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in North Syracuse (407 South Main Street, North Syracuse, N.Y. 13212). Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest at Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse, N.Y. (2500 Valley Drive, Nedrow, N.Y. 13120).
