Kathleen R. (Flaherty) Schad

Kathleen Rose Schad (nee’Flaherty) was born in Syracuse New York on May 18, 1947 to Joseph and Lillian Flaherty. Kathy was a world traveler for much of her life, spending time in  Italy, Spain, England, most of the Caribbean, and most importantly, her beloved Ireland.  

Kathy was also a dedicated nurse, working in assisted living homes, nursing homes, as well as home visits.  She grew up in Southwood (Jamesville NY) and graduated from Jamesville-Dewitt high school. For years, she called Newark, Ohio home.

She is survived by her sons Brian Schad (Florida) and Kevin Schad (ohio), her sisters Chrissy Flaherty, Carol Zacharski, and Patty Vogt, as well as grandchildren Claire, Breanna, Alexander, and Bianca.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Until then, raise a glass and say "Sláinte" in honour of Kathy’s life!  

In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to St. Judes.
