Kristine E. (Maron) Horn

Mrs. Kristine "Kris" Horn, age 76, of Apulia Station, NY, passed away on June 10, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kris was born on February 13, 1948 to Charlotte and Ervin Maron in Aurora, Illinois. After graduating from Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she moved to Syracuse in late 60’s. She landed her first job as a photographer for Paul Norman Photography. She met David in 1970, and they wed in 1971. They moved to Apulia Station in 1972 and added daughter Becky to the family in 1974.  She joined the Apulia Fire Department Auxiliary where she was a member for many years. She left photography after about 15 years and decided to become a banker instead. She started her career at Merchants Bank working the line and moved up the ranks to retire from M&T bank as an auditor in her 60’s. After retiring, she spent a lot of her time with her daughter and making new friends playing mahjongg and canasta.

Kris was predeceased by her parents Charlotte and Ervin Maron. She is survived by her brother Karl Maron of Dayton, Ohio, husband David Horn of Apulia Station, NY, daughter, Rebecca Horn of Fremont, NY, as well as many nieces and nephews.
