Laurie A. Wheeler, 52, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home September 18th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Thomas Taylor and Donna (Sager) Taylor on February 26th, 1969 in Syracuse. Laurie spent her life as a caregiver and loving mother. Laurie was diagnosed with ALS in April of 2019, she fought for her independence til the very end so courageously. Prior to her diagnosis she enjoyed time spent with friends and family. She loved all animals, but especially her dogs Bella, Shadow, Badger and a parrot named Bailey. She was always the life of the party, a jack of all trades. She gave endless love, was creative and amazing with cooking. She had the most unique hairstyle, which was always a different color. She had a carefree spirit and an infectious laugh. She was loved and will be missed by so many.
Laurie is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, James G. Wheeler; 4 Daughters: April Taylor, Amanda (Thomas) Dziedzic, Amber Edwards (John Buckley), and Ashley (Amanda) Barc; Two grandchildren, Aiden and Gracie Caza-Taylor; Several grand-pets; dear friends, neighbors and extended family, all whom she loved immensely.
In respecting her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
