Martha M. (McCasland) Schmidt

Martha M. Schmidt, born Feb. 22, 1941, passed away on March 28, 2023 after a brief illness. Martha is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Carl W. Schmidt, daughters, Kathy Snyder, Martha (Marti) Rice and granddaughters, Justine Schmidt, Alexandra Rice, Amanda DeMauro and grandson, Nicholas Rice; several great grandchildren, her sisters, Marjorie Gorney, Carol Wilson, Nancy Woods and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Monday, April 3rd from 10am-12pm at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc., 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse, NY with a Catholic service to follow at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

The family would like to thank the staff at Francis House for their wonderful care of Martha.
