Obituary
Mary Anna (Leland) Farrell, 88, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2023, in Liverpool, New York after complications following an illness. She was born in Schenectady NY, and moved to FL in 1981, settling in Largo FL, and had recently returned to live upstate New York. She will be missed by her surviving family, friends and those who knew her.
Mary Ann touched many lives during her career as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed several hobbies including sailing, golf, water aerobics, gardening, bridge and other card/board games. Mary Ann was passionate about helping others, most notably through her years of sisterhood and service in P.E.O. International, an organization for the betterment of women through higher education. She was also an advocate to improve treatments and reduce the stigma of those suffering from mental health conditions.
Per her wishes, there will be no public memorial services.
In lieu of flowers, Mary Ann would be honored to have memorial contributions made to any charitable organization supporting higher education, such as P.E.O. International (www.peointernational.org) or to a cancer research organization, such as the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
