Michael DiGiulio Obituary

Michael Paul DiGiulio, 89, of Syracuse, formally of Amber, NY passed away peacefully at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center, Syracuse NY with family members alongside.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War.  Mike was a machine mechanic for Church and Dwight for 30 years. He also served as a Special Deputy Sheriff for Onondaga County.

 He was a dedicated volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, Amber Troop 11, where he served as Scoutmaster for many years.  He also volunteered at the Boy Scout Camp Sabattis in the Adirondacks, where each Spring he joined maintenance crews to prepare the camp, and then in the Summer accompanied the boy scouts of the Troop. In his younger years he was an avid bowler and liked to hunt pheasant and deer.

Mike was predeceased by his wife, Nancy (Hicks), sister, Rose Longo and brothers, Floyd DiGiulio and Paul DiGiulio. He is survived by his three sons; Timothy (Margaret Sheen) DiGiulio, of Westvale, David DiGiulio, of Castleton on the Hudson, Steven (Cris) DiGiulio, of Troy, and 9 grandchildren; Zachary DiGiulio, Claire Sheen, Alexi Sheen, Colden Sheen, Blake Sheen, Porter Sheen, Derrick DiGiulio, Michael DiGiulio, Matthew DiGiulio, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
