Michael C. Fiore

Michael C. Fiore, 81 of Syracuse, NY, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his nieces.

He was predeceased in this life by his mother Lucy Fiore and father Edward Zinkovitch as well as his sisters Linda Zinkovitch and Sandra Bassett. He is survived by his only brother Alan Zinkovitch (Michele) and his nieces, Monique, Orselina, Desiree and Christina and his nephews, Angelo (Christy), Michael, and Richard.

He also leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Alexis, Alex, Allison, Alysa, Alana, Aneesa, Amaya, Alicia, Maximino, Edward Joseph (EJ), Heather, Christian, Eleva, Luka, Logan, Priscilla, and Soryn Michael and his only son Michael Fiore Jr.

Mike retired from Onondaga Commmunity College after many years of service. In his retirement he enjoyed his time at the gym, being outdoors, long drives and quality time with friends and family. He found solace spending time with his great nieces and nephews and loved hearing stories of their achievements and adventures.

Through his decision to be an organ and tissue donor, Mike brought hope and healing to others in his final act of kindness continuing his legacy of compassion by helping others. To honor Uncle Mike, consider healing a life and donating to Donate Life NYS. Mike will be greatly missed.

Celebrate his life on Monday June 15, 2026 @ 11am at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc., 206 Kinne Street,  East Syracuse.
