Michael Sluzar Obituary

Mike "Father Time" Sluzar, 64, of Camillus, lost his courageous battle to pancreatic cancer on May 9, 2017. Mike is survived by his children, daughters Caitlin (Jeremy) Keller of Erin, NY, Jocelyn Sluzar of Moravia, NY, sons Matthew Sluzar (Katie) of Cortland, NY and Kyle Sluzar of Los Angeles, CA, grandchildren, Amelia, Mason, Carissa, Brayden and Peyton, sisters, Gail and Pamela, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tom and Cindy. Mike was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all.
Mike was a hard working mason and had a hand in building many buildings in CNY. He loved to work and it was one of his number one passions. Mike was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved being in nature. Hunting and fishing were therapeutic for Mike. Most importantly, Mike loved his kids and devoted himself to raising four children as a single father.
A special thank you to Hospice of CNY, especially his nurse, Kim T, and The Francis House (Sally W., Ashley B., Courtney, Nancy and all of the amazing caregivers) for helping him live the end of his life with dignity and love.
Mike has chosen to have a celebration of life gathering rather than traditional funeral services. The celebration of life will take place on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Sennett Fire Department 3155 Turnpike Road Auburn, NY 13021 at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Francis House 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208. Please express condolences to the family by clicking the condolence tab above.
