Michael A. "Mookie" Wilson

Michael A. Wilson, a resident of Onondaga Hill, previously of Jamesville, NY, passed away in his sleep Wednesday morning February 5, 2025 at Van Duyn Nursing Home.

Mike, "Mookie", spent many years in service to his community as a D.O T. heavy equipment operator retiring in 2003 as a section crew leader for the North area of Onondaga County, spending many winter nights away from his family. He was also a life member of Jamesville Fire Department. While a member of the department, he served as fire chief, interior firefighter and an EMT during service to the fire department, In his spare time, he was involved in Boy Scouts as an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 22, a chapter advisor for the Order of the Arrow and spent many summers helping to teach life skills to young men.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy and son, Brandon.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held at Jamesville Fire Department on February 16, 2025 from 12 noon to 3pm.
