Nicholas Griffin passed away peacefully on September 15 at the age of 39 surrounded by his loved ones. Nick lived most of his life in the Syracuse area. He graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt high school in 2003. He then joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves after attending boot camp at Cape May. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science. He had a wide variety of jobs but found his true vocation in the last few years as an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. He leaves behind his two beautiful children Will and Charlotte who he loved dearly, and his parents Philip and Joyce.
Nick was well known for his sharp wit and sense of humor. He would happily engage in intelligent conversation on any topic. He was a loyal friend, always ready to lend a helping hand and encourage those around him to be the best that they could be. He left us to soon, but the world is a better place for the time he spent with us.
