Pauline Krumman O’Donnell, 96 of East Syracuse passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Syracuse, she lived the past 70 years in Parkhill Dewitt. She retired from St. Matthew’s rectory after 43 years as a housekeeper, and also worked many years as a waitress at Hinerwadel’s. Pauline was a long time member of St. Matthews Church and spent many years volunteering in the St. Matthew’s second time around store.
Pauline had many friends she enjoyed spending time with and loved being active, riding her bike and bowling well into her 80’s. She bowled with the Monday Mixed Bowling League and the Friday Senior bowling League at Bowl more Lanes. She was a member of the St. Matthews guild, ESM booster Club, and a supporter of the Syracuse Little League. She loved watching all sports but was an especially avid fan of SU football and basketball as well as the NY Yankees.
She was pre deceased by her husband, Arthur, Sister, Ellen Silkey, and son, Peter. Pauline was a devoted mother, grand-mother, Aunt and friend who enjoyed special gatherings, parties, and holidays with her family and friends.
She is survived by her four children, Edward (Glenda) O’Donnell of North Syracuse, NY, Paul (Robin) O’Donnell of Old Forge, NY, Marcia O’Donnell Spencer, NY and Margaret (Kevin) Mack Morris, NY. Her 3 grandchildren Kimberly (Jeffrey) Crenshaw of Richmond, VA, Amber (Michael) Voll of Baldwinsville, Elaine (Mike) Ashby of Cicero, NY as well as Great grandchildren Cara and Eric Crenshaw, Riley and Brynn Voll, Niece Mary Ellen (David) Jones and several other nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Her body was donated to Upstate Medical.
A mass of celebration will be held Wednesday September 14, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Matthew’s Church. Family and friends are welcome to attend. In Lieu of flowers,
