Ralph Schrack, 95, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He then moved to Eastwood with his parents and worked at the Eastwood Bowling Center. After graduating from Eastwood High School, Ralph was drafted into the Korean War where he served in the communications field.
Upon leaving the service, he became engaged to his future wife Beverly Shanahan. From there, Ralph began working at American Lafrance in Canastota, and after that, he began his 30-year career at General Electric. He was a communicant of Eastwood Baptist church for many years as well as a Sunday School Teacher. Ralph loved gardening, collecting coins and stamps, model railroading, traveling, and most of all his loving wife Beverly and his sons David and John.
He was predeceased by his parents Ralph Sr and Jane Schrack and his wife Beverly.
He is survived by his sons David (Louise) of Syracuse and John (June) of Brewerton. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 10-12pm at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc., 206 Kinne Street East Syracuse NY 13057. A service at the funeral home will be held at Noon with burial following in Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse.
