Richard Kokosenski 82, passed away October 30, 2019 at Syracuse VA. He grew up and lived most of his life on a farm in Schuyler. He graduated Whitesboro HS 1955. He was an avid gardener and he taught his children the value of growing fresh vegetables.
Koke as he was known by many friends and family loved being outside fishing and hunting. He was a die hard St. Louis Cardinal fan, and could be seen at SU Events or at a Bills game. Music was also important to him and his tastes ranged from Polkas, music from his generation as well as country . He didn’t go down in a burning ring of Fire. Koke was a proud Army 82nd Airborne soldier, and the emblem could be seen on his mailbox or a lawn chair. He worked for 20 years at GE and 20 years at the US Post Office.
As the baby of the family, Richard was pre-deceased by his three sisters and five brothers, and his wife Patricia of 44 years and infant daughter Kristen . He is survived by his daughters Marianne Kokosenski, and Debra (Kenneth) Jones, granddaughter Kathryn, his son Rick (Laureen) and granddaughter Brenna Jo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony to commemorate Koke’s life will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Al Todachini pancreatic cancer through Upstate Medical University.
